Buried In Green starts up again tonight!

Tonight I’ll be premiering the first episode of the sixth season of my radio show, Buried in Green! It airs from 10:00PM to 11:00PM every Thursday night. I play a great deal of styles but the idea is, I almost exclusively play the kinds of songs you wouldn’t expect to hear on the radio. Expect to hear: psychedelic rock, baroque and acid folk music, odd jazz, prog rock, pastoral electronic music, soundtracks from 60’s British public education films, spoken word pieces, avant-garde compositions, musique concrete, weird hiphop, Tropicalia, and more.

TUNE IN TO YOUR DIAL at 88.5, or listen in at http://www.wrur.org!

Here is the very playlist itself!:

1. Porcupine Tree- Futile EP - Drown With Me

2. Brian Eno - Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy) - Mother Whale Eyeless

3. The Olivia Tremor Control - The Game You Play is in Your Head

4. Gilberto Gil - Gilberto Gil - Volkswagon Blues

5. Os Mutantes - Tecnicolor - Baby

6. Thomas Dolby - The Golden Age of Wireless - One of Our Submarines

7. Ford & Lopatin - Channel Pressure - Joey Rogers

8. Kate Bush - The Red Shoes - Lily

9. Rob Laufer - Survive Style 5+ OST - Towards the Sunrise

10. Kayo Dot - Choirs of the Eye - The Manifold Curiousity

Tune in every Thursday from 11PM to Midnight! FOREVER.

This page is the blog for a project I worked on over the course of my undergrad years called “Moon’s Eye.” It’s a set of four mock public education films supposedly created between 1952 and 1975. Each film takes a different subgenre of the public education film and points it at a bizarre subject matter. There’s a nature film, an anti-drug film, one of those old-fashioned pseudoeducational advertising films, and a character study afterschool special.
